Denmark Trainings and Regattas after Covid-19 Quarantine

We have travelled to Denmark for trainings and Reggata Coaching for the Sailing Club of Faaborg. This was our first trip out of Greece after the quarantines.

Everything look's very different starting from arriving to an airport till how you organize a training or an event. I have to admit that the people , clubs and the optimist class in Denmark that hosted the two regattas we participated were very organized.

We are talking about restricted events that you could have a maximum of 50 persons by law in the vicinity of the reggata both on the racing area and the club. This number included sailors , coaches, race officials etc.

Thinking Smart they divided the country in East and West having two regattas on

the same weekend with a maximum of 32 participants in each district. Folowing the next Weekend they hosted the final qualification with the best sailors from both events.

So Denmark succeeded and now they have their teams selected for European & World championships.

One thing is certain the virus is here to stay until there will be a vaxin for it. So we have to adapt in all levels of Sailing.
